Hannah shows teeth for the camera now. Here she is showing off her new tinkerbell hat she got at Disneyland. Everyday we leave the house she asks if we are going to Disneyland. She is talking nonstop and it is a lot of fun.

Fun at Grandma's House

California here we come. Hannah and I are taking a trip to California for over a week. Her favorite thing to do at Ong and Ba's house is count the lemons on the lemon tree, and run back and forth in the bay window playing peek-a-boo behind the sheers. She is at such a fun stage. She may be little but she has a big personality already. I can't wait for the holidays so she can play with friends and family.

Other highlights of our trip included going to the Zoo, listening to Radiohead perform from the parkinglot of a nearby school(scalpers wanted too much), and seeing U2 in 3D Wow, it's like being in the front row. Esecially beacause there were only five of us in the huge theater.

Catch up

Well not too long ago I was repremanded about my blogging efforts. Apparently just posting a video clip every month or so does not cut it. So I am here to play a bit of Catch up with recent events. Since I am actually writing a post you know what that means......Hannah is having a good Day! I love good days. Besides the fact of her flipping out at her appointment with the new pediatrician today she was in great spirits otherwise. One look at that crinkly paper on the table and she turns into a monster....even with pictures of crayons on the wall there is no fooling her. So on to recent events.....We had our first family vacation to Santa Barbara. We closed the office for 4 whole days and flew to sunny SB. The weather was great, Hannah was excited to be there from the moment we got off of the plane. Unfortunately we had a layover in Phoenix, but she did great. She was hurting a bit on the way down(later I found out due to a bit of fluid in her ear caused by Roseola--the rash started to appear that night) We were greeted by Andy and Kristin the first night and Don's parents came up the second night. It turned out well since we had no refrigerator and they brought up an ice chest with some of Hannah's food. We played at the beach, rode the carousel, I had Gelato(did I mention I am no longer on the Hannah Diet?) It was a very relaxing and enjoyable time.
Hannah now has another cousin...Baby Lauren Duke is now 3 weeks old. She is very cute and Anne is enjoying being a mom. I got to be there for the birth and I give props to Anne, that was no easy labor. More exciting news....another cousin is on they way. Crystal is pregnant.
Hopefully more good days with Hannah mean more time to work on my blogging skills.

She is 14 months old now and loves to play with her toys. Grandma is here with us all week and Hannah is enjoying the added attention. Each day brings new and exciting moments. Here's a little taste of it.

It's been a long time

Whoowee, It's been a while since our last post. We have a monumental occurrence today. I am actually typing this while Hannah is taking a nap. That's right. I am not laying beside her holding her arms down and she did not wake up the moment I left her side. I like the taste of freedom. So to catch you up to speed a bit: Hannah is now 12 1/2 months old. She had a very fun birthday, which she shared with close family and friends who feasted on food and delicious "nothing bunt cake". Don't worry, Hannah had her very own flourless, eggless, dairyless, soyless, nutless cake/muffin. She seemed to really like it, prune frosting and all. I have become very creative with some recipes. These days Hannah is into books, sprinklers, pushing strollers and shopping carts no matter how big they may be, and she is learning more and more sign language. It is very fun to be able to communicate with her and understand what she wants/ demands.

Hannah started walking a week or so before she turned 10 months old. She has already given up crawling. We can't wait to find out if her cousin is going to be a boy or girl. Either way we are VERY excited!

Hannah is 6 months old now. I took her to get her pictures taken and she would not give out one smile. You should have seen how silly I looked trying to get her to crack one. It's amazing how I still managed to want every photo even thoughh she wasn't smiling in any of them. I think all moms get suckered into spending a small fortune on their kids first photo shoot. Or maybe I just tell myself that to make myself feel better.
She ate her first feeding of rice cereal. I was expecting some funny faces, but she loved the rice. It must be in her genes.

Hannah is finally losing that double chin, or maybe it's just the camera angle. We better keep up her strict exercise routine just to be safe.
